Vantage Peak - Duffey Lake Tour
We've found some new touring partners. A Lululemon couple. A skier and a snowboarder. An Aussie and a Montrealer. Rowan and Nadine. And this past weekend we got after it in Duffey Lake.
It was an admittedly aggressive day - 13km round trip. A long, mellow approach up Cerise Creek toward Vantage Peak. We didn't end up having enough daylight (and motivation) to make the summit. Maybe because we lingered a bit too long taking photos or simply staring at the surrounding mountain landscape. It was 360 degrees of rocks, snow, ice and trees. It still amazes me how tiny I feel in these mountains.
